Colin’s Godson sessions

We just finished a couple of highly enjoyable weekends recording the Colin’s Godson long player. The band feature’s Joe from The Plimptons and the mysterious “Ed” who made the journey from the frozen wastelands of Iceland just for the recording. Think Sultans of Ping /Buzzcocks with bizarre lyrical tangents. Should hopefully have a sample track available for your listening pleasure very soon!

“Live From 16 Ohm” – The Murderburgers

We were honoured to have The Murderburgers stop by the studio last Friday night to blast through a blistering set for the forthcoming 1st episode of “Live from 16 Ohm” (working title) which should hit Youtube and anywhere else that’ll have it at the end of September. Mnay thanks to the guys and to John and James for coming through from Edinburgh to handle the visuals. Stay tuned for more rock’n'roll video!

Transfer news!

We’ve recently taken delivery of a vintage Sound City guitar head, on loan from Sedition’s garden shed. We reckon it’s a good move for both parties and we’re looking forward to the season ahead!

Plimptons new album in “nearly finished” shocker!

Yep, I was listening to the nearly completed master (courtesy of Brendan O’Hare) last night and it suddenly dawned on me that this beast of an album is almost complete. It now sounds like a real album. And my heart jumped for joy as I imagined myself dancing naked through a field of buttercups throwing endless piles of “rough mix” cd’rs to the wind on my way. It really is a good album too. Makes me very proud like your Daddy was. Not long to go now. Launch gig on the 20th of November at Nice N Sleazys. See you there!
